David Jolly Adds a Polk County Stop for the Campaign's Final Day, Then Wraps Up in South Florida
The Democrat's Monday schedule gained a stop in a county the governor himself flagged for soft Republican turnout - and it is expected to be his last before the South Florida close.

Democrat David Jolly will add a Polk County stop on Monday, the final day of campaigning before Tuesday's election for Florida governor, according to Florida Politics reporting on the closing schedules. The stop is a late addition: it joined the tour after Gov. Ron DeSantis posted on social media Thursday night about relatively low Republican voter turnout in Polk County.
The Polk County appearance is expected to be Jolly's last stop before he heads to South Florida to wrap up his campaign. It follows a Friday that took him to The Villages, a Republican stronghold, and to St. Petersburg, where he spoke at Bethel Community Baptist Church on Friday night.
Jolly, a former Republican congressman running as a Democrat against Republican Byron Donalds, has acknowledged that getting the word out has been more difficult with much less money raised than his opponent, and has said he is using the final week to reach as many communities - and as many undecided voters - as he can. Both campaigns close Monday with Election Day set for Tuesday, Nov. 3, when polls across Florida, Leon County included, are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
