Two Home Games, One Halloween: Tallahassee's Game-Day Traffic Plan for the FAMU and Florida State Doubleheader
Florida A&M hosts Southern at 3 p.m. and Florida State hosts Clemson at 7 p.m. on the same Saturday - and it is Halloween. The published police traffic plan covers both campuses, downtown, and the roads home afterward.

Tallahassee hosts two home football games on the same day this Saturday, October 31: Florida A&M faces Southern at Bragg Memorial Stadium at 3 p.m., and Florida State faces Clemson at Doak Campbell Stadium at 7 p.m. The Florida State University Police Department and the Tallahassee Police Department are working a joint traffic plan for the day, and motorists should expect heavier traffic around both campuses and downtown, particularly along Tennessee Street, Pensacola Street, South Monroe Street, Gaines Street, Lake Bradford Road and Orange Avenue.
For the Florida State game, traffic signals along Pensacola Street between Duval Street and Chieftan Way will be set to flash before the game to give priority to westbound traffic heading toward Doak Campbell Stadium. Tallahassee police officers will be on post along that route three hours before kickoff, and signals at intersections near the stadium may be controlled by officers as many as six hours before the game. Around Bragg Memorial Stadium, traffic control begins two hours before kickoff, with closures at Althea Gibson Way and Robert and Trudie Perkins Way, at Perry Street and Robert and Trudie Perkins Way, at Perry Street and Dr. Carolyn Ryals Way with no northbound traffic permitted, and at Althea Gibson Way and Dr. Carolyn Ryals Way.
After the Florida State game, Pensacola Street east of the stadium will flow one-way eastbound only, away from the stadium, and St. Augustine Street and West Madison Street between Varsity Drive and South Monroe Street will also flow one-way eastbound toward Apalachee Parkway. Northbound traffic will not be allowed on Springhill Road and Lake Bradford Road from Levy Avenue to Gaines Street, and southbound traffic will not be allowed on Stadium Drive from Tennessee Street. Drivers who are not headed to either game are encouraged to use Ocala Road and Monroe Street for north-south travel, and to expect delays from some time in the fourth quarter until about an hour after the final whistle.
