Man Shot at Magnolia Terrace Apartments on Oct. 28 Has Died, Tallahassee Police Say — the City's 15th Fatal Shooting This Year
Police confirmed the death on Monday and have made no arrest in the Oct. 28 Magnolia Drive shooting, which a witness described as a car pulling up, firing and speeding off. The case remains an open and active investigation.

A man critically injured in a shooting at the Magnolia Terrace Apartments last week has died, the Tallahassee Police Department confirmed on Monday. The department did not identify the man, and the desk is not naming him: police have not released a name, and a death is reported here on official confirmation, with names published only when officials release them.
Officers responded to the shooting on Oct. 28 at about 9:59 a.m. at the apartments across from the south end of the Capital City Country Club on Magnolia Drive. The department has not confirmed the circumstances, but a witness told a reporter she saw a car pull up, fire the shots and speed off, and that when she turned around she saw the victim on the ground next to a scooter, shot in the head.
Police said they have not made an arrest, and the case remains an open and active investigation. The death makes the man the 15th person fatally shot in Tallahassee this year, according to a Tallahassee Democrat analysis of gun violence in the city.
The shooting came during a stretch of gun violence that included the Oct. 24 mass shooting that injured 11 people near Florida A&M University's Bragg Memorial Stadium over homecoming weekend. Anyone with information about the Magnolia Drive case can reach Tallahassee police through the department's published non-emergency channels; the desk will update this story when officials release further confirmed details.
