Chattahoochee Man, 23, Killed When His Car Hit an I-10 Overpass Pillar and Burned in Gadsden County
A 23-year-old Chattahoochee man died Saturday after his sedan left eastbound Interstate 10 near mile marker 178, struck an overpass pillar and caught fire, the Florida Highway Patrol said. He was the car's only occupant.

A 23-year-old man from Chattahoochee was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Gadsden County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened at about 11:50 a.m. on October 31 on the eastbound side of the interstate near mile marker 178.
Troopers said the sedan was traveling east when, for a reason investigators have not determined, it left the roadway to the left, struck an overpass pillar and became engulfed in flames after the collision. The driver, the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Highway Patrol did not release the man's name; the report said his next of kin had been notified, and it listed his seat-belt use as unknown. The crash remains under investigation. Gadsden County EMS, the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office and Gadsden County Fire Rescue assisted troopers at the scene.
